George has been very and having lots of fun over the pasts months. He first set off from Worthing in the UK, which was then his home. I moved whilst he has been travelling lets hope he doesn't go back to Worthing at the end of his travels as he would get a nasty fright! He would think I didn't love him and abandoned him! He set off back at the beginning of November 2012 and boy oh boy has he seen alot since then, I can truly say I am jealous and wish I had packed myself up instead.
The next few post will detail his trips to the first six people he met. I believe now that he is about to be setting off to Pennsylvania!

Meet George... He's a travelling gnome
My little knitted friend George, is tiny little gnome with big ambitions! One day while sitting at work at my desk little George pondered, he didn't want to be sitting with me at a desk day in and day out. Only getting to see a new place in the world once year. He told of all the things he wanted to see, all the people he wanted to meet. For I could not take him to see all the wonders the world holds or all the kind people of the world.
So I sat a work thinking of how I could make Georges dreams come true. When my idea came to me I couldn't believe I hadn't thought of it sooner! I had a wealth of wonderful people from all around the world at my finger tips on Ravelry! So I asked my fellow knitters on the Tiny Owl Knits forum if they would be so kind to host my little George. A flood of yes' came in and so it was our George packed his bags and set off. With him he took a notebook to write about his journey and the people he met and a gift for his hosts.
This blog is the story of his travels with pictures from the places he goes and the people he meets. It will be updated as he travels. So meet George!
